Prepare my heart, O Lord, to receive from You today. Remove every distraction, every worry, and every thought that would keep me from fully experiencing Your presence. Clear away the clutter of the week past and create in me a clean heart and a steadfast spirit. Let my mind be single-focused on You, the Author and Finisher of my faith.

Sunday Morning Gratitude

Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider, You are the God who sees and meets every need. You are El Shaddai, the All-Sufficient One. Before I call, You answer; before I ask, You provide. Today, my heart swells with gratitude for Your abundant provision in my life.

Thank You for the roof over my head, the food on my table, and the clothes on my back. Thank You for health, strength, and the ability to work. But more than these physical blessings, I thank You for spiritual riches that surpass all earthly treasure. You have given me salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who paid the price I could never pay.

I am grateful for the Holy Spirit, my Counselor and Comforter, who guides me into all truth and intercedes for me when I don’t know how to pray. Thank You for Your Word, a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, which instructs, corrects, and encourages me daily. Thank You for the church, the body of Christ, where I find fellowship, support, and accountability.

Like David, I can declare that my cup runs over. You have blessed me beyond measure, beyond what I deserve, and far above what I could ask or imagine. You have turned my mourning into dancing, my sorrow into joy, and my ashes into beauty. For all of this and more, I give You thanks and praise.

Dear Lord and Savior, as I awaken to this beautiful Sunday morning, my first thought is of You and my first words are of thanksgiving. You have kept me through another night, sustained me through another week, and brought me to this moment. For this alone, I am eternally grateful.
